CIS pro preventing notebook from going into sleep mode

After pressing appropriate keys or putting the computer in sleep mode through windows, notebook enters zombie mode. Monitor shuts off but fans and power light stay on. The culprit is obviously Comodo because uninstalling it solved the issue. I re-installed and reproduced the problem. I have both firewall and av turned on.

I have SSD so I don’t want to use hybrid sleep because it supposedly harms these drives. However, enabling hybrid sleep does allow the computer to enter sleep mode. I recently did a fresh install of windows 7 and this problem only surfaced afterwards. I have been running various versions of comodo software for 2 years on the same notebook but did not experience this issue. I would like to keep using it since otherwise I am happy with the software. I don’t see comodo listed if I do a powercfg energy log so I don’t know where to begin. Any ideas about solving this problem?
