CIS is not able to make full scan of PC- it always remains blocked, the scan can take for hours, but comodo is still scanning and scanning and scanning… and it can not ble stopped!!! If you want to continue working, you have to restart computer!!! :o :o >:-D. I recognised this strange behaviour few weeks ago.

Maybe that is your problem right there, you could have some conflict between your other security software installed on your pc and CIS !
NOTE: It’s recommended to use only one security solution (antivirus scanning engine and a firewall) for your pc because if you use multiple products (scanning engines) you may encounter conflicts between them (for example when one engine scans, the other engine could scan this engine and so on) and that can slow down your pc.

Thank you for answer- on my PC there is only CIS and Spybot Search and Destroy. It was mentioned in this forum, Spybot S and D ican run with CIS without problems. No other antivirus software installed. PC was scanned by online scanners (NOD…). Should I uninstall Spybot?
Till now I was fully satisfied with comodo, but last few weeks-really strange behaviour (updates, transient inability to update, before mentioned ´´freeze´´ during scan)
I do not know if CIS has the full capability to recognise and destroy spywares. Do I need Spybot or any other antispyware product if I have CIS (It would be great if CIS is enough)

I don’t know about that, all I know is that I use CIS (antivirus & firewall) and Firefox (with AddBlock+, WOT and BlockSite addons installed) for almost seven months and I didn’t have any infection so far. I’ve surfed on the bad sites, downloaded cracks, surfed on porn sites, you name it !
I’ve set my CIS av to On Access, Firewal in Custom Policy Mode and D+ in Paranoid mode.
Now I know that with D+ set in Paranoid Mode it can be irritating when installing new software due to popups that require your answer but that’s a small price to pay for better security in my opinion!
And if you get spyware the D+ module won’t let it install untill it gets an answer from the user and if it gets installed, then the spyware must “call home” and then will be picked up by the firewall who will ask you if you want that application to connect to the internet.
Anyway, with CIS v4 will be much harder to get infected especially with the new modules like Sandbox and Time Machine!

Do I need Spybot or any other antispyware productNot really, and besides spybot is kind of out-of-date (IMO). If you feel the need to have an extra anti-spyware program (like to run it every month or two) Get Malwarebytes or a-squared free.

At one point comodo peaked at about 6,000,000 defenitions. Now as of today there at Total Definitions: 5068013. That’s about a miliion. A good start
