I installed the latest version of CIS 3.8.6585951.471 last night and since then it’s been blocking svchost.exe’s outgoing connections to various ip addresses and ports. It’s blocked 1215 attempts sofar. I can’t get Windows Updates to work unless I disable the CIS firewall.
I am not sure if this related but I can’t get Windows Remote Desktop to work either.

I would like to try to solve your Issue as Quick as Possible
Please Check In Your “Network Security Policy” (Firewall > Advance > NSP)
Check under svchost > edit > treat as > Out Going Only > Apply > Apply
Run The “Stealth Ports Wizard” (Firewall > SPW)
Select “Stealth my ports to everyone” > Finish
Then open it up again > “Define a new trusted network” > Select Your Network Zone Name In the Drop Down Menu > Finish
This should calm down the logs
Did this solve your Remote Desktop or Update Problem?
Also Just to be sure please check that you have “Windows Updater Applications” set to “Allow TCP OR UDP Out From IP Any To IP Any Where Source Is Any And Destiniation Source Is Any”
Also, I see that you are running Windows 7,
I believe that there is few minor “bugs” with that OS
Yet It’s not recommended to Install CIS while using Windows 7
Windows 7 OS Will be Supported in the Near Future
