For some reason the Comodo suite is making some games to crash. I have no idea what’s the problem, but it’s present on XP SP3, Vista & Windows 7 (all x86). Comodo had only the firewall enabled and those games don’t need internet connection.
Name some of the games and check the Windows Event logs for the types of crash. Some generate Crash Dump (DMP) files that Comodo can use to determine the cause of the crash.
If you say “Only Firewall” what install mode did you chose, Firewall with Leak protection?
Can you verify if Defense+, Advanced, Defense+ Settings “Permanently disable…” is checked?
Firewall without nothing (I never been a friend of Defense+). I don’t remember what exactly the firewall says, but I think I checked the first box/circle (by default Comodo comes with the middle box/circle checked).
Is it safe for you to test the game with Firewall Security level set to “disabled” just to see if it will start then, afterward please set it back to the previous security level.
It doesn’t work with firewall disabled (I also put the application on trusted and blocked) and it works with the old Comodo version.
Does the new version offers some new security features or solves vulnerabilities of the old firewall? Because is not hard for me to install the old version back. Sandbox I really don’t need it.
At least one specific but with ECN bit set, but i don’t think your using ECN because otherwise your browsing would be slowed to a crawl. page-loads like 30sec and higher, for the rest no “known” fixes on the firewall part.
