Since installing CIS, the email shield on Spy Sweeper has stopped working and will not allow email to be sent. If I uncheck the email shield box then my email client can communicate. Does CIS perform the same function as Spy Sweeper’s email shield or should I be concerned??
CIS has no email scanner. It will only alert when you open an email and malware will write to RAM or your hard disk. Typically that would happen when you open an attachment which is malignant.
You need to make sure that the mail scanner of SS is allowed to run. For the Firewall you can try the Email client or Trusted predefined rule. For D+ try making it a Trusted program.
