How can i fix this: clicking on the CIS icon doesn`t open the interface anymore, the same applies to the menu item. Do i have to reinstall CIS? This happens with the newest version.
I believe this is likely a problem which can be solved. I will therefore move this to the HELP section of the forum, where hopefully someone can help you quickly solve this problem.
Can you please provide some additional information:
Which version of CIS are you using?
How long has this version been installed on your computer?
Also, what happened just before it stopped working? Such as did you receive an alert, open a website, update something, install a new program, etc…

Sorry, i wrote, it´s the newest version. Which one exactly, i don´t care. I think i am searching for some other security software, since Comodo is causing too much trouble.
First, i couldn´t even uninstall it (after intial reinstall), because it crashed. I had to restore a three weeks old version, & i lost changes. I was also annoyed by the fact, that you don´t provide any opt-out for Geek Buddy Bonzy.
Also, all signature updates are unbelievably sluggish. I´ve been using CIS for about maby 5 years or so, but getting tired of having troubkle all the time. A few days ago, i couldn´t even delete a file, which was once isolated by CIS, but i removed it from quarantine, to no avail.
Maybe those problems arose because i installed BoxCryptor or the new EMET 4.0, i can´t say. All i know is, i don´t want to be bothered by problems like that.
Keep up the good work, though, i think that CIS is generally one of the best security programs, but maybe more fore dedicated people…
These issues could have been caused by the initial difficulty uninstalling it. Did you try reinstalling by following the advice I give in this topic? If not then please try that and let me know if it helps.
Also, I have seen a few reports which seem to show a possible incompatibility between EMET and CIS. That could be part of the problem.
