CIS blocks several installation of Autodesk products

CIS blocks several installation of Autodesk products. For example, NavisworksFree 2018, NavisworksManage 2018, Autocad 2018, Autocad Architecture 2018.
CIS blocks the copying of required files with .htm.js extension to Temp directory. There are hundreds such files in installation package.

But for example, CIS DOESN’T block installation of 2017 versions of such Autodesk products. There are the same files with .htm.js extension in those installation packages.

CIS 8.4.0.5165

Does it detect as malware or Sandboxes?
Any screenshots please.

Thank you for reply.
It detects these files like Malware - Heur.Dual.Extensions@4294967295

Please see enclosed images and check heuristic setting and ensure it is Low.

It’s sad. We have about 250 workstation. Is there any ability to change this option via cmd?

are you using enterprise version?

No. We use Comodo Internet Security Premium 8.4.0.5165.

That’s really over an year old version. We suggest you consider updating to latest version as old version not even compatible with latest Windows 10.
In any case, there is no command line options as such that we can suggest to alter CIS settings.

Did you check if you really have heuristic setting high?

It doesn’t help. I’ve just tested installation with low heuristic setting.
Comodo still blocks such files

Please export your CIS configuration and share with us and also tell us how do you scan, right click scan, full scan?

Is there no “Add to exclusion” option?

Configuration file in the attachment.
I don’t scan. I just start the installation of the required Autodesk product in unattended mode, and installations fails because Comodo blocks .htm.js files from the installation package.
As I told previously CIS DOESN’T block installation of 2017 versions of such Autodesk products. There are the same files with .htm.js extension in those installation packages.

Please export CIS configuration as shown in enclosed snap.

Umesh using low heuristics scanning will still detect dual extensions, so changing to low won’t help.

nockdown yes you can add to exclusions help link for 8.4 on how to do that.

There are hundreds of such files in one installation. And there are four required installation of Autodesk product with such problem. And there are 250 workstation. It’s too long to do it.
But for example, CIS DOESN’T block installation of 2017 versions of such Autodesk products. There are the same files with .htm.js extension in those installation packages.

You are right, it’s even present with Low setting as well.
So nockdown, either disable heuristic or exclude like suggested by futuretech,

Was the installers of 2018 trusted or unrecognized? I’m guessing they where not detected as a trusted/installer while the 2017 product installers were. By default CIS automatically trust files created by trusted installers, and those files rated as trusted will not be scanned by the AV.
