What happens when you make a custom rule for Outlook in which you choose to import the predefined E Mail cllient policy?
Exactly the same. Every few minutes an “Allow” pops into the Event log (indicating that the policy is completely ignored). Over in the bug thread that I opened (https://forums.comodo.com/bug-report-cis/83-dos-names-dont-match-any-rule-in-cis-40-x32-t52950.0.html), brucine has recovered the release notes from some old CIS release that pretty much exactly describe this problem. Seems that that faulty expander has reverted back into the source code for 4.0. It’s just broken, and unless I can understand what prompts CIS into mangling these path names for some apps and not others, no custom policy stands a chance.
