CIS and Norton AV compatibility?

Hello. A friend suggested I check out CIS when I asked him for a suggestion on a firewall to install on a system running Vista.

I just bought Norton AntiVirus 2010, and I want to know if I can install free CIS with just the firewall and Defense+ components, and not CIS’ AV component.

Will that work and not cause problems?

i’ve never tried it myself, but theoretically… YES, you can disable CIS AV & use another AV.
just to be safe, remember to create restore point before installing/uninstallinf everything.
