CIS 7.0 does not find the update server, only manual update possible

since 2 or 3 weeks (new re-installation of Windows 7 / 64) it is not possible to make an automatic update or die install a data base by clicking “check updates”.
Message: “cannot find server”.
I can only do a manaul update if the signitures, but not for the program version.

On my notebook everything works fine afetr a first manual update., with same setup.

You should uninstall your version of CIS using the methods described by Chiron here:

I was having same problem, now i have a fix, installing NET Frameworks (2.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 versions!) in windows 8.1 x64 CAN fix it.

Thank you for your observations. CIS does not rely on DOT NET Framework. That leads me to believe that something else must have changed at the same time as you installed the DOT NET Frameworks. Do you recall if something else has changed around that time?
