CIS 4.0 crashes after resuming from WinXP Standby

So I have CIS 4.0 on all the pc/laptops in my house, which is 5. But I notice on the 2 Win XP Prof SP-3 desktops, that when I put them in to standby (sometimes it works fine but after like 2 or 3 times it will crash) and resume them, CIS gives some error and then proceeds to close and then I just go back to programs and reopen it.

This pc:
Pentium 4 32 bit, Win XP Prof SP-3, 2 gigs ram, running lastest CIS 4.0 firewall w/ proactive security configuration (Firewall - Safe Mode and Defense+ - Clean PC Mode & Sandbox - Disabled), Avira AntiVir Personal 10.0.0.567. Also CIS Firewall and Defense+ are checked to create rules for safe apps and Defense+ checked to block all unknown requests if app is closed.

Other pc: Almost the same, except uses full CIS
Pentium 4 32 bit, Win XP Prof SP-3, 2 gigs ram, running lastest CIS 4.0 AV & Firewall w/ proactive security configuration (Firewall - Safe Mode and Defense+ - Clean PC Mode & Sandbox - Disabled). Also CIS Firewall and Defense+ are checked to create rules for safe apps and Defense+ checked to block all unknown requests if app is closed.

I’m going to try this on my laptop as well and see if it does the crash as well

Try the latest version 4.1.x.920 on one of the crashing systems, see if that helps…

Sorry that was my bad, they are the latest version available CIS 4.1.150349.920. The laptop does the same thing and it’s Win XP Prof SP-3, Pentium 4, 2 gigs, CIS 4.1 AV & Firewall…but it took like 5 standbys for it to happen on the laptop

Related post here, same behavior needs a few standbys and cmdagent.exe crashes.

Topic: cmdagent.exe no longer in Task Manager

Can you also verify your Windows Eventlogs and see if you can find a crash report for cmdagent.exe?

There was a DrWatson about Comodo, I found easier way to display info…sorry for the senior moment >_<
