I’m not sure what do you mean by “xpi for CID”
The <>.xpi file type provides extendibility in the browser and is associated with Mozilla/Firefox browser
This is basically a ZIPed file (can be opened by any archiver) that, contains an installer for particular browser extension.
You can even just drag it to Fox or hopefully CID (I do not use it) window and the extension will be installed.
So what kind of extension you are talking about?
And then, as far as I understand, you have to ask about specific language support for any given extension applying to the developer(s) of that extension
