This is not a bug, the setting isn’t supposed to delete the history, the setting is for Cookies (or otherwise local data) which doesn’t include History - The same behavior can be seen in Google Chrome.

history is not a given location?

Hi liosant,
This can be acheived under the ‘Clear At Exit’ settings. (Screenshot)
chrome://settings/AutoclearBrowserData

Kind regards.
