changing permission from deny to approve??

How do you change a process or event from deny to approval. I can’t get some software to work now that I made the big mistake?

G’day and welcome to the forums.

You can’t actually go from BLOCKED to ALLOW in one hit. You need to remove the BLOCK, which makes the application unknown to CIS, then run the app and this time, ALLOW it.

To remove the BLOCK;

  1. Open CIS
  2. Click DEFENSE+
  4. Click the BLOCKED FILES tab
  5. Click the application you mistakedly blocked and click REMOVE
  6. Click OK
    The app is no longer blocked and is now effectively unknown to CIS
  7. Run the app again
  8. When prompted, click ALLOW and REMEMBER
  9. Breathe easier :wink:

Hope this helps,
Ewen :slight_smile:

Thanks so much appreciated! One more question. Defense I think is the cause but since I have been using Comodo, My computer freezes up! No mouse, no nothing, I have to power off and reboot to get it back on. I am using 32 bit windows 7 any help on this will be appreciated! Thanks!

Can you show the D+ logs of around the time your computer freezes? They are under View Defense + Events.

Can you also look in the Windows logs to see if Windows reports anything out the ordinary happening? Go to Control Panel → Administrative Tools -->Event Viewer → Windows Logs → System.
