Comodo firewall slowed down starting of all applications until 30 seconds.
This is shown in Windows task management CPU use.
There are then no other CPU users at that time.
Diagnostics show no problems.
I’m using version 3.0.24.368. in safe mode for firewall and defence, after all installations of programs.
Log setting was 0 mb, set to 2 mb now.
Could someone help me with this?
When would a DUTCH translation be available?

I,m running Avast, Version Tracker and Secunia PSI (RC2).
Also: AdAware2007, Spybot, MBSA, HijackThis, SUPERAntiSpyware, System Mechanic 7, TuneUp Utilities 2008 are installed.
Not running normally.
System Mechanic 7 service is running always.
I have always lots of troubles with Windows, some of theme are solved true Microsoft Communities or other forums. Others still remain.
Installed Win Home and Pro about 50 times in 2 year, not a single one without large problems from the beginning.
Runtime Software\DriveImage XML for images of partitions ( none good at this time ) and EZBack-it-up 2.0
HijackThis log is checked, no problems there.
Al updates installed, except sp3 and IE7. Most drivers updated.
I can’t install sp3. Automatic or manually. Took me 3 days to recover my partitions.

Here is a quick report from Everest attached.
I just discover now that sp3 is detected. This can only been a crippled one, because installation is rolled back after a third attempt, with no luck.
System Properties tab report sp3 also.
Computer is about 2 years old and build on my wishes.

Het was voordien ook al, maar nog niet zo erg als nu. Gisteren sp3 nog eens geprobeerd HANDMATIG te installeren
( WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-NLD.exe ), alles eerst uitgeschakeld met PROCESS EXPLORER. Liep halverwege vast, daarna rollback. Misschien eerdere rollback al niet goed gegaan.
Krijg nu ook weer DCOM EXPLOIT meldingen van AVAST. Was opgelost met DCOMbob.exe via MS Communitie.
In software staat inderdaad Windows XP Service Pack 3. Na wat zoekwerk ook verwijzingen gevonden in C:\WINDOWS$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst en C:\WINDOWS\security\Database.
Bij shutdown blijft er enige tijd een menuscherm van HIDDEN MENU en CFP ( zonder inhoud )staan dat ik niet kan sluiten.
Op MS Communities geplaatst en niet opgelost:
Ik maak veel gebruik van programma HIDDEN MENU. De laatste tijd wordt Hiddenmenu.ini niet goed opgeslagen bij afsluiten, zodat ik dit steeds moet herstellen van een kopie. Staat wel goed ingesteld. Opnieuw installeren geeft geen beter resultaat. Registervermelding is goed.
In welke mode staat CFP, ik heb al een tijdje rondgekeken (in je log en post + internet) en ik vind geen gelijkaardige gevallen. Dus vraag ik jouw, zet hem in training mode en restart (zowel defence+ als de firewall).

OK gaan we proberen.

Wegens diverse andere problemen afscheid genomen van deze installatie en met UBCD4WIN en DRIVE IMAGE XML de laatste image van C schijf teruggezet. Daarin zitten ook nog enkele kleine problemen maar die probeer ik dan eerst wel op te lossen met forum hulp.
Voorlopig geen sp3 meer voor mij.
