cfp Really Crashing?

First time user of Comodo and not sure it was installed correctly or whether I am managing it correctly. Running it with avast, AdAware and Defender on a Vista.

Keep getting cfp app crash notices from Windows but Comodo seems to be okay when I check it out. Have it set for Safe Mode in both Firewall Security Level and Defense and Security Level with primary configuration set to Proactive Security/Updated.

I am concerned that I cannot view scans or confirm updates and must depend on an “Everything is up to date” quickie. Seems wierd that this type of program would expect its’ user to “assume” all is working. Also, I have NEVER received a response on any of the files Comodo wanted and I sent for inspection. Does no response means they were OK or that I’m not getting feedback?

Have history of known hijackings with same intruder assuming “Built-in Administrator” status and assuming all privileges through Advanced Security, Group Policy. When I run your “diagnostics”, it takes less than 2 seconds to get a response that all is okay - while avast has isolated 594 files it can’t scan (temporary internet files, archived and passcoded…not by me); Defenders is reporting problems; and I keep losing my internet connections because I’m apparently on an unknown VPN connection and my ISP can’t help me cut the connection.

Getting ready for another complete recovery but need assurance that Comodo is better than what I’m seeing. How do I see what the original configurations should be and check them against the ones I have now?

Thanks for any help.
