I have just had a massive virus problem, 10 restarts or more, some random, but i can’t start comodo now. I am left using the hopeless windows firewall. i have been using Comodo since december and have recently upgraded to SP3, and Avg 8.0.
Cheers,
Habylab
Have you tired doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of Comodo? What version are you using? I use Revo Uninstaller in advanced mode and it works great. When Comodo says reboot, dont and click next on Revo and delete all left registry and program entries. Then reboot. Then use CCleaner registry cleaner or any other registry cleaner you use. Install the latest version of Comodo.
Hi Habylab, welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear about your troubles (and being forced to user the Windows Firewall). Vettetech’s advice, uninstalling & re-installing the latest CFP is sound… assuming you’re not still infected that is. What detected the Virus? What was the Virus, do you know? Which AV are you running?
Also, you might want to try…

… I’ve not tried it myself. But, it’s currently free (for a time limited period) & it probably couldn’t do any harm.
I use Revo installer too! Someone recomended it to me a month ago and i use the moderate option.
Also, in the old Comodo you could search for programs, so it would allow them, i can’t seem to find this in the latest version… Is it still there?
Comodo 2.4 and 3.0 are completely different programs. To find programs in the firewall go to Firewall\Advanced\Network Security Policy and look in the list for what you need. Then go to D+\Advanced\Computer Security Policy and look in that list. I have over 250 program in both and I find things easily by icons.
