Hi
I started with Comodo ver 5.12.256249.2599 some days ago.
I could see that the process cfp.exe cpu for 20 - 45 % always. :-[
When I used Kerio firewall it takes less cpu.
Is it right or I have to perform a better setup?
thanks

Of course not.
If something gets scanned by the antivirus, thats generating cpu usage.
But normally a security shouldnt use any “special” amount.
Why should it?
Do you use two security programs for one purpose?
Did you uninstall a prior security program by using a removal tool for it?
I have AVG free like antivirus then I had kerio firewall and I used ccliner to unistal it!
Did you install the comodo antivirus while having avg?
Btw, many security products have an uninstaller.
I have installe only firewall
Please make sure that there are no left overs of previously uninstalled security programs around. Not all uninstallers do a proper job. Left over applications, drivers or services can cause all sort of “interesting effects”.
Try using removal tools for those programs to remove them. Here is a list of removal tools for common av programs: ESET Knowledgebase .
Sorry i don’t understand
I have avg antivirus and I don’t want to change it, so what I have to unistall?
Anyway thanks for you link it is very helpfull in a lot of cases

If you had other security programs installed in the past then please run clean up tools for them. That is a way of making sure that they are completely uninstalled. Sometimes an installer may leave behind a driver or service that could interfere.
Try adding the CIS installation folders to the exclusions of AVG. That way AVG won’t scan Comodo files. Let us know if that changes things or not.
Hi
I found an installation of Mcaffe made by windows update.
I cleaned it!
Now seams that everything works right.
thanks
Congrats with finding that. Other security programs or left over after they were uninstalled can cause these sort of effects.
