CFP 3.0.22.349 basic & ThreatFire 3.5.0 [RESOLVED]

Hello Comodo Team and Comodo fellows.

I am new to the Comodo Firewall Pro. I’ve been told that the D+ feature is the best HIPS in the market, but that it is extremely intrusive, so I’ve only installed the basic firewall feature.

I would like to ask you whether it would be a good idea to use the new ThreatFire 3.5 together with my CFP. As I understand, ThreatFire now comes equipped with an on-demand AV scanner. Will it be possible for CFP and TF to live in harmony on my computer.

I’m thinking of turning to the D+ later on, but only after I become more familiar with these things. Until then, I could use, as I hear, a pretty good behaviour blocker, TF 3.5.

What do you think?

Thanks

MesTo

P.S. My OS is Vista Ultimate
My AV NOD32 v2.70.39

If you want to keep an eye on 3 different security programs then thats your choice. You would have to keep an eye on Threatfire,NOD32 and Comodo. Comodo is far from intrusive and there is alot of help in here. I would rather keep Comodo 3.0 with D+ active and NOD32. Comodo can be overwhelming at first but it is alot more power then Threatfire and frankly I don’t trust any made by PC Tools.

The thing is that I’ve been told I would never have to keep en eye on TF. “Just install it and forget about it”, that’s what I’ve heard. On the other hand D+ can ask so many questions and I’m sure I won’t be able to answer many of them regarding the kernel, dll, etc.

I have never gotten a kernel alert. I have Comodo on my laptop and desktop with no troubles. Read the sticky’s and you will be fine.

Thanks.
