It’s really doesn’t make sense to me.
At work, we don’t have admin rights so I need to use portable or self-contained versions of applications of my choice. It’s the same with CD. I read that the setup file is a ZIP archive file and I have in fact extracted CD from it (here is the discussion). So CD works now.
However, even if I download and install the current version from the website, CD is asking for permission to get updated to the newest version and I cannot do it because it requires admin rights. Any suggestion how to update CD to the newest version?
