CD AutoRun

I am using the Latest Windows XP PRO SP2 which is our own bought copy, and is not from Dell or other like companies.

Ok, i have changed the registry by using this:

http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/pest/collateral.aspx?cid=76351

The registry change happened, i check manually.

But Autorun still works, i have used the “Shift” key and it stops autorun.

I don’t want to use the shift key continuesly.

How come it is not working?

One site has a link to disable it, should i use this?

Kellys Korner is well known for having excellent fixes. When many experts forget, they go there to remember or look up a fix they didn’t know. Between MS forums and Cnet, I have used it many times as well as MVPs and Cnet Mods alike. I would like to mention you can right click, properties, and choose auto run settings which you should set all to take no action before using any fix. Some mixed disks still pop up however on my XPpro machine, when it was running, I set all to take no action and never got the pop up again.

Heh, well got HEAPS of work todo, posting back will happen at the end of the year, as it is really not THAT much of a concern, but something that needs to be done eventually.

When i do, i will post back.

Paul
