cbvdbus.sys IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY!

Hi, this is what I can read in the log file, someting is not working, I did a repair of the installation, doesn’t help…In hardware device manager there is a problem, I’m using Vista 64 Ultimate, Vista can not find a driver for “Virtual Disk Bus Enumerator” and I don’t have this Vdiskbus.sys on my system. I think I can not use Comodo Backup…

Hey and Welcome!

I recommend you to download the newest. can you attach the log file

Thanks

Valentin

could you attach the file? Thanks

Have you tried to reinstall it? uninstall it, install CSC (comodo system cleaner), clean the registry and then install it again. But before you begin to clean the computer with CSC, I recommend you to have following settings.
run CSC. CSC —> Settings —> General. Here you mark all besides the last option.

CSC —> registry cleaner —> settings. Here you mark the second and the last option.

CSC —> privacy cleaer —> settings. Mark the second and the last option

CSC —> disk cleaner ----> settings. Mark the second and the last option.

Hi, I did al steps you wrote and after installing CB & rebooting, Vista searches for a driver but can not find on my system.

not sure how to attache the CB txt file, but its all copied in my previous post…

additional options—>attach —> choose file.

I will make a bug report with you info

I hope other people that uses CB will help you more detailed; I have it installed but I haven’t used it.

Valentin

cheers

I have reported it and lets hope for the best  I have the same version as you do but I have no errors.

Did you try to press “Reisntall driver” button in this picture?
CBVDbus.sys driver is used for mounting disk backups
If it doesn’t work properly the only functionality CB wont have is mounting disk backups, beside this it will function properly.

Thanks

Yes I did, then Vista starts searching but fails to install…

I just downloaded and ran the install and my log looks exactly the same. And guess what? I am running Windows Vista also. Tried to look at that link in prior post but won’t work. All I want to do with the program is backup files/folders to blank dvds. Can I do that?

Yes.
cbvdbus.sys driver is used just for mounting disk backups.
You can also try to reinstall.

Thanks
