I am running Comodo Backup 4.2.2.15 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I am experiencing seemingly random BSOD dump/reboots. I have logged 40 since I changed the motherboard on May 23. I have run windbg on all of them (“!analyze -f -v” and “k”), and three point to cbufs.sys:
06/01 23:24 SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (7e)
06/27 10:22 SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (7e)
07/27 12:38 IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
I have full dumps and minidumps for each of these three occurrences. Has anyone else reported similar problems? I did not find anything on a search of the fora. Does anyone from Comodo want to see the minidumps?
I asked a help desk site to review one of my numerous minidumps, and the response was, “uninstall cbufs.sys”. If I were to rename or remove that file, I no longer would be able to use Comodo Backup to backup my disks or to restore files, when needed.
Thanks.
