CB3 install locks on VDBUS.cat

I’ve downloaded CB_3.0.171317.130_xp_vista_server2003_server2008_win7 and attempted to install several times. After cleaning up the mess on each unsuccessful install and reattempting, the install continues to lock up on the extraction of VDBUS.cat.

I also tried installing with my virus protection off. In some cases this is a factor, but not in this case. I use Panda. CB3 fails to install in all cases.

I’m running Win 7 64.

Hi

When deadlock occurs:

  1. Go to Windows → Run → type “certmgr.msc”, then hit enter.
  2. Go to “Trusted Publishers” → “Certificates” and select Import and import the certificate.cer file in \Program Files\COMODO\Comodo BackUp
  3. Then, try again to reinstall.

I stepped through your suggestion. Same result. It freezes on the extraction of vdbus.cat.

I installed Acebackup as an alternative, and it installed just fine.
