Me too, exact same error.
I got the same problem too !!
Actually, I just noticed a discrepancy in the error reported. Mine is exactly this:
“*** Unhandled Exception! ExpCode: 0xC0000005 ExpFlags: 0 ExpAddress: 0x00410E6C Please report!”
“Error: Engine Initialization Failed” and
“CavSn.exe - Fatal Application Exit”
“*** Unhandled Exception! ExpCode: 0xC0000005 ExpFlags: 0 ExpAddress: 0x00410E6C Please report!”
this is the error i am getting, when i tried to right click scan on a download, so i then just tried to do a normal scan and same thing came up, when i looked at my schedual for my scan it was still set at 2am in the morning but when i looked at the reports a scan has not been done for a number of days.
the last thing i did is delete comodo firerwall and install the beta version, which has improved my cpu a little when i am searching the net.
have i done something that can stop my antivirus scanning.
also am i at risk, because its not scanning
Hi,
It seems, from reading another thread, that the latest update caused this problem. Can you contact support@comodogroup.com and explain your problem - and hopefully get it resolved.
Thanks,
Mike
hello i am also having same problem (B)
Hi,
It seems that the latest update (that required a reboot) has solved this problem. Does anyone still have this issue?
Mike
yes … I had to reload Windows and XP insisted on reformatting the C drive so I’m in the process of reloading all software … went to Comodo’s site, downloaded the newest version, entered my existing activation key and when the scan started it failed with this error at address 0x00410E3C … I’ve had it with Symantec and McAfee so am hoping your product is the answer to every home user’s need and prayers
thanks,
Dale
