I am trying to uninstall COMODO Internet Security from my computer, (I have Windows 10) and I am unable to do so. I am getting an error message that kicks me out of the “COMODO Endpoint Security Setup Wizard” when I attempt to uninstall the program. The error message says " COMODO Security Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run Setup Wizard again. Click the finish button to exit the Setup Wizard." Can you please help me with this. I have moved on with a new Internet Security provider and I would like this removed from my computer. Thanks.
Download Kernel Mode Drivers Manager and uninstall all publishers under Comodo. Then trying running the uninstaller as normal. If that fails reboot into safe made and try this .
The tool is for older versions but may serve the purpose. After that clean the registry, and download and run Autoruns and delete any reference to Comodo IS.
This is for sure considered as a “late post”, but since others (like me) may stumble upon this forum thread, I want to post my solution. I made an in place upgrade to Windows 10 on one of my Windows 7 machines. Stupidly I forgot to uninstall Comodo before upgrading to Windows 10. I have always done this on other machines since Comodo and an upgraded version of Windows 10 often hasn’t been a happily married couple. So, my simple solution, as I got the mentioned message when trying to uninstall Comodo after the Windows 10 upgrade, was to use the uninstaller that comes with CCleaner. It worked without any problems for me and Comodo got uninstalled.
