can't open CD from taskbar

when I click to open Comodo Dragon set in the taskbar, it does not respond.
If I right click to open an old element: it is not responding.
For at least a year I was using Comodo Dragon this way, and it worked very well.

The only way open is to click a shortcut on the desktop, Comodo Dragon is the default browser, it opens, but after a wait of several seconds.

Comodo Dragon Version: Dragon 20.1.1.0 (Stable)
Plugins/Themes installed in Comodo Dragon: no one
Windows 7 (64-bit)
UAC status: enabled
System Drive where Windows is installed in C:
Comodo Dragon is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Comodo\Dragon
User privileges :administrator
No Google Chrome installed.

Hi Kazoar,
Try unpinning Dragon from the taskbar and then re-pinning from the desktop shortcut.
In properties check the target field.
“C:\Program Files\COMODO\Dragon\dragon.exe”

Thank you, but it’s exactly what i did at first.

and why i don’t understand, i have only this problem with CD.
There, ihave Firefox, Explorer, Outlook: all of they are working as usual, but CD

This is strange, have you compared both Desktop shortcut and Task-bar icons properties?
Does it open from the start menu?
Thinking. ???

Edit: I had a portable version icon and an installed version icon at the same time a while back and I kind of remember that there was some issue with the two but my mind is blank as to what it was at this moment.
Have you ever had portable and installed versions at the same time?

No, sorry, i have only one version installed, and now, very often, CD just open in a small small size… 3 cm x 2 cm… i don’t know what is this

Is the path in the shortcut in the taskbar correct? Try dragging the shortcut from the Desktop to the taskbar and see if that brings a solution.

I am not sure why Dragon opens in a very small window sometimes. It may be related to how Windows deals with and remembers window sizes. You can change the shortcut to Dragon to always open maximized.

I am using WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64Bit SP1 and have CD pinned on my taskbar and it is working just fine.

Check the properties of pinned CD on the taskbar.

[I]first right-clicking on the taskbar button, and then right-clicking on the name of the application in the Jump List[I]

SHORTCUT TAB
TARGET: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Comodo\Dragon\dragon.exe”

One other thing is you may like to check the COMPATIBILITY tab.

Apologies for the error in the target field in my earlier post. :-[
I was showing the target field for a dedicated 32bit system and not for 64bit as the OP stated.

i am really sorry to tell you, that when i check, every thing is as it has to be, exactly as you show…
but, i have to click, one million times now, to be able to open CD… with a a short way on the destop.
and only after, i can open it.
what surprised me, every thing else is working in a normal way, but CD 88) i don’t understand what it could be

Hi Kazoar,
This is a long shot and I am not sure how it could make any difference to how it opens, but I have read in the past that a corrupt user profile can play funny with the chrome browser taskbar icon/shortcut.
It is up to you if you want to try it for Dragon.
