Can't add Windows Live Messenger to the apps list

Hi,

I tried to open Windows Live Messenger with Comodo Firewall installed. I got a message with the error code: 80072efd. I suspect this has to do with the firewall.

I then tried to add a rule for the application Windows Live Messenger to allow it to access the Internet. But it doesn’t appear on the applications list and I still get the same error message from Windows Live Messenger.

What I did is this:
I chose Add Application, looked up the Messenger exe file and selected allow all. But when I click OK it doesn’t appear in the list.

What did I do wrong?

Thanks!

That’s actually a connection issue with Windows Live Messenger and the server it connects to.

Hopefully, the information in this thread might shed some light on helping you solve the issue.
