When I try to lock/take pic with my lG G4 (LGE LGLS991) running Android 6 with Antitheft V 3.1.2400 I cannot do either. I get a cannot connect to device error.
I’d really like to use this, but am unable to currently.
Any idea how to fix?

Could you try again? There was server problem about getting picture from mobile device.
I have same problem on Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime.
Not the first time defines device.
