Can settings for CPF be backed up?

Hello, everyone. Just wondering if settings and rules and such can be backed up somehow, in case my computer ever goes south or something.

This feature wll be available in the future versions of CPF. But you can save whole registry hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Software\Comodo\Personal Firewall .

This will be enough for backing up all CPF configuration data.

To prevent registry poisoning, dothe values from the registry get read on startup, held in momory (along with any modifications) and then writeen back to the registry on shut down? Or are they continually referenced during operation?

Just curious.

Comodo writes to the registry as the values are changed.
As far as reading goes, I think Comodo only reads these values during startup and stores it in the memory. (If you change something in the registry, they won’t have an effect in the interface - Comodo rewrites all the entries as something is changed and doesn’t read values from the current registry)
Umm… this is just an experiment I did… No claims though

For the future, maybe Comodo should use XML for its export format. (R)
