Can Comodo be installed as a service?

Hello,

I didn’t find anything about this in the FAQ so: is it correct that Comodo is installed as a program for one user only rather than a system service (Win XP)? And thus doesn’t start until said user logs in to Windows? Or am I being paranoid and is it only the GUI that isn’t loaded before I log on?

Thanks replying.

Hi MrBrett, welcome to the forums.

CFP is made of 3 main parts: CPF.EXE (the GUI front-end), CMDAGENT.EXE (the service) & CFPs Drivers. The drivers are loaded with Windows at start-up. The service loads with the rest of Windows services. The GUI is started when you login. In short, the answer to your last question is YES. ;D
