I have noticed, ever since I started using CIS with v3.8, that my AV defs are not updated when I’m in full screen gaming. They only update,and catch up to the latest version, when I exit the full screen app.
I have confirmed this by writing down the DB number before a gaming session (my World of Warcraft sessions last 4-5 hours since I’m what they call a regular “Raider”) and then checking it as soon as I come out of the game. It’s always the same and then within minutes, the updating process starts and I get a new DB. Sometimes the DB number changes by more than one digit.
Does CIS have a built in gaming mode that they don’t advertise? If it does, and it seems so, then it should be promoted.
