Bug: Scan hangs when it encounters a 64bit zip file

Is this the right place to report a bug?

The scan hangs (stops, cpu=100%) when it encounters a 64bit zip file.

When I create the zip with ZipOutputStream.UseZip64=UseZip64.Off (SharpZipLib) then the file can be scanned.

I can supply a zip file if required.

Hello zchris,

Can you open a ticket for this at http://support.comodo.com/, please?

Thank you,

Arki

I just did, thanks.

Thank you for your time :)!

OK, I just got a reply:

“We provide the support for the beta version of comodo antivirus on comodo forums only.”

So…?

Uh, my fault. I thought they’ll give support through the support page for all products. I informed other moderators about this topic who might be able to help you.

Hi zchris,
Can you please upload the zip file you encountered problem with or you can mail me at : umesh@comodo.com

How did you create this x64 bit zip file?

Thanks
-umesh

I’ve emailed you the zip.

It was created with SharpZipLib (http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SharpZipLib) with ZipOutputStream.UseZip64=UseZip64.Off (the default).

It is a valid zip file - at least WinZip and 7zip have no problems with it.

thanks, chris

Since you didn’t get the email I’ve attached the file here.
