Buffer Overrun with CAV [Resolved]

I am having the same problem

Reinstalled and cleaned reg , but still the same

pbolah,

Have you tried the steps outlined by umesh (he’s the CAVS team lead developer) in his post above?
https://forums.comodo.com/help_for_comodo_antivirus/buffer_overrun_with_cav-t10145.0.html;msg88758#msg88758

There are several files in the archive “patch.rar” attachment on his post, to be copied in per his detailed instructions. If you will follow his instructions and let us know how that works for you, that would be very helpful for the team. And hopefully will resolve your problem as well…

got the patch. eveything is fine now

Hi,
As i mentioned earlier that we planned to release patch today, we have postponed release to thursday. We have an issue that updater doesn’t work in restricted user mode, we are seeing if we can resolve that and have that also available as update, just to avoid back to back updates.

Thanks

I had the same issues and resolved them. Take a look at https://forums.comodo.com/help_for_comodo_antivirus/buffer_overflow_while_generating_users_profiled_safe_list_database-t11765.0.html;msg84726#msg84726

Hi,
Just to complete this thread, updates related to this crash has been made and setup has also been updated as mentioned in this mail:
https://forums.comodo.com/feedbackcommentsannouncementsnews_about_cavs/cavs_version_201758_release_due_today-t12883.0.html

So anyone having older version of CAVS2.0, can simply run updater to have latest files.

Thanks
-umesh

This thread will now be closed. Thanks to all who were able to help test the files and assist with resolving this issue.
