BSODs: Please add your minidump files here (CIS4)

Since the update to CIS 4.1.149672.916 no moree BSOD.
It’s been 4 days now so I think the problem is solved.

sounds like you had a corrupted cmdagent.exe, reason your problem right now should be better is because a new cmdagent comes in with the update.

languy99 >>I see that you tested Comodo (youtube). I have just written a new post https://forums.comodo.com/firewall-help-cis/help-needed-cis-i-am-very-worried-that-i-am-not-protected-any-more-t57391.0.html
could you help me out on that one?

Windows 7 x64

Comodo 4.1.150349.920

cmdguard.sys

After installing fresh copy of Comodo 4.1.150349.920, the machine will go into a BSOD with the error message notifying me of cmdguard.sys is causing the error.

Looking into the minidump tells me that this is from the DRIVER VERIFIER detecting a violation.

      Symantec Endpoint Protection(began misbehaving with the advent of Comodo Firewall 4.0, removing guard64.dll fixes it) Gave the new release another chance and left the guard dll in system32 and it happened again. Both crashes during startup.
    • Brief description of the problem (Attach Diagnostic report or crash dumps)
      Startup bluescreen crash, mirrors previous crash exactly. Check my previous posts in this thread.

This needs attention now because the only way to stop the BSOD was to uninstall comodo and delete the drivers (.sys) out of the driver folder.

usbohci.sys
svchost.exe
abmain.exe = AdBlock Pro
PrivacySuite.exe = CyberScrub PrivacySuite

Note : no BSOD in 6 months with ESET ONLY with Comodo v3 or Comodo v4 !
I was quite happy with ESET but since the CIS v4 was out I decided to give it a try again but it seems nothing about those BSOD have been corrected ! I’ve reported many BSOD in the past but never get any answer from the dev. team.
