A. THE BUG/ISSUE (Varies from issue to issue)
[ol]- Summary - Give a clear summary in the topic subject, NOT here.
Can U reproduce the problem & if so how reliably?:
Yes, reliable
If U can, exact steps to reproduce. If not, exactly what U did & what happened: 1:Change networkadapter parameter (“Große Übertragung” to “Aktiviert”). I assume the parameter is called “Large send offload” in english. You get to it via device manager, select the network adapter and then the advanced tab. 2:Reboot produces BSOD 3:Change networkadapter parameter (“Große Übertragung” to “Deaktiviert”)
If not obvious, what U expected to happen:
The computer does not crash
If a software compatibility problem have U tried the conflict FAQ?:
?
Any software except CIS/OS involved? If so - name, & exact version:
no
Any other information, eg your guess at the cause, how U tried to fix it etc:
The crash is related to e100b325.sys. The networkadapter is Intel Pro 100 VE, driver version is 8.0.47.1 it’s the latest. The adapter settings to avoid the BSOD slows downloads from the internet.

B. YOUR SETUP
[ol]- Exact CIS version & configuration:
Comodo Firewall 7.0317799.4142
Have U made any other changes to the default config? (egs here.):
no
Have U updated (without uninstall) from CIS 5 or CIS6?:
no
[li]if so, have U tried a a clean reinstall - if not please do?:
yes
[/li]- Have U imported a config from a previous version of CIS:
no
[li]if so, have U tried a standard config - if not please do:
?
[/li]- OS version, SP, 32/64 bit, UAC setting, account type, V.Machine used:
Win7 SP1, 32bit, Admin
Other security/s’box software a) currently installed b) installed since OS, including initial trial security software included with system:
a=avira antivirus 14.0.3 b=None

Thank you for submitting this bug report. However, there are a few more pieces of information I need before I can forward this to the devs.
Is your system 32bit or 64 bit?
Also, do you have any other security programs currently installed?
Please also list any which used to be installed, but are now removed.
Please also create and attach a diagnostics report to your first post. If you are not sure how to do that please feel free to ask.
In addition to that, please make sure your computer is set to create Complete Dumps in case of BSOD. For instructions on how to do that please see this page. Then, after the BSOD is replicated and the Complete Dump File created, please upload it to a file sharing site. The best I have found for this is Mega, which although it does require registration is completely free and can handle very large files efficiently.
Once the dump file is uploaded please paste the download link in your first post.
Let me know when you have accomplished this, or if you have any questions.
Thank you. I assume that there are no previous antimalware software which used to be installed, but are now removed. Is this correct?
Also, can you please let me know what the network adapter parameter is called in English, and provide steps on how to get to it? This is important so the devs can more easily replicate this issue.
Also, the dump file you uploaded to Mega seems to be a little smaller than I was expecting, although this does vary from system to system. Thus, I just want to be sure of something before I forward this to the devs. Was it set to create a Complete Dump Report or a Kernel Dump Report? These are two different types of dumps, and I therefore need to be sure it was the Complete Dump.
Thank you. I assume that there are no previous antimalware software which used to be installed, but are now removed. Is this correct?
That is correct, I only used Comodo and Avira

I’ll check this, however, I got no chance to do so before wednesday.
Thank you. I will keep this bug report here until you can verify that it was indeed a Complete Dump, or if it was not create and upload a Complete Dump. Once I have that I can forward this to the devs.
I supplied a kernel dump. However I tried for a full dump, but only to find out that for a 32bit system with more than 2GB RAM the full memory is not available anymore.
Can I supply any other information?
On the search for a reference for my information I found this http://www.osronline.com/article.cfm?article=545, which actually did the trick. Probably you should think of giving a bit more advice on Howto get to a full memory dump on Win7 systems.
I changed the link in my original message. The dump is a compressed zip file, originally it has 2gb.
Did the advice on that page (copied below) not work on your system?
If the Complete memory dump variant is unavailable in the Write debugging information section, perform the following actions:
run the msconfig utility:
in the left lower part of the screen, click the Start button
select the Computer item
in the address line, enter msconfig and press Enter
or
press simultaneously the buttons Windows and R on the keyboard
in the Open field of the Run window enter msconfig and then click the OK button
go to the Boot tab in the System Configuration window and then click the Advanced options… button
check Maximum memory and specify the 2046 value
click the OK button
click the OK button in the System Configuration window
in the System Configuration dialog window that will open, click the Restart button to apply the changes. Before restarting your operating system, save all open files and close all run applications.
wait until your operating system restarts.
Thank you very much for your report in standard format, with all information supplied. The care you have taken is much appreciated by Comodo, and will increase the likelihood that this bug can be fixed.
Developers may or may not communicate with you in the forum or by PM/IM, depending on time availability and need. Because you have supplied complete information they may be able to replicate and fix the bug without doing so.
The devs have not marked this as Fixed in the tracker. However, sometimes bugs are fixed by the release of new versions, but not marked as Fixed in the tracker.
If you are able please check with the newest version (CIS version 8.0.0.4337) and let me know if this is fixed on your computer with that version.
Thank you for checking and I’m happy to hear it’s fixed. In that case I’ll move this to Resolved. If the problem returns please respond to this post and let me know.
