BSOD when attempting full manual AV scan [270]

The bug/issue

  1. What you did:I have tried several attempts to do a full computer scan

  2. What actually happened or you actually saw:Scan starts Ok but my computer crashes, not always at the same time or same file as far as I know

  3. What you expected to happen or see:Full scan to complete

  4. How you tried to fix it & what happened:disabled scanning of archives, reduced heuristics to low, turned off screen saver, turned off Hibernation, turned off Sleep…No effect still BSOD

  5. Details (exact version) of any software involved with download link: NONE

  6. Any other information you think may help us: I had this problem with CIS 4 and uninstalled for this reason

Your set-up

  1. CIS version, AV database version & configuration used:CIS Premium 5.0162636.1135, AVDB 6235, Proactive + safemode for Defense+ & Firewall, Antivir at Stateful

  2. Whether you imported a configuration, if so from what version:NONE

  3. Defense+ and Sandbox OR Firewall security level:Safemode sandbox enabled

  4. OS version, service pack, no of bits, UAC setting, & account type:Windows 7 ultimate (all windows updates applied), 32bit, UAC OFF, Administrator account

  5. Other security and utility software running:I have tried it with only CIS running All other unnecessary programs and background updaters etc stopped using the Task Manger, No other security software running, I do have Sandboxie installed but this is not set to run at start up only on demand and has never been loaded during a scan

  6. Virtual machine used (Please do NOT use Virtual box):NONE

Amendment…Comodo’s Diagnostics didn’t find any errors, this is a clean install on a recently installed OS
