i received a notification from the “action center”
0x117 ATI Timeout Driver Restart

it was a problem with my video driver so ignore this

BSOD just starting regular update checks

The bug/issue

  1. What you did:
i saw the icon of the comodo update in the tray and i decided to clic on it, just after i accept the UAC prompt I got the BSOD
I was doin some other things at same time like a game was in loading, and I was navigating in chrome

  2. What actually happened or you actually saw:

  3. What you expected to happen or see:

  4. How you tried to fix it & what happened:
I did a manual update check but there was no update avaible, so the problem was just cuz the update check action

  5. Whether you can make the problem happen again, and if so exact steps to make it happen:
I dont think I can repeat the problem, it was very random and rare

  6. Any other information (eg your guess regarding the cause, with reasons):
it happened just after uac and a game was taking all hardisk access so maybe it happened cuz the comodo update was unable to read something

Files appended. (Please zip unless screenshots).
3. A CIS config report or file.
4. Crash or freeze dump file:
yes (will send to the first admin asking for it)
5. Screenshot of More~About page. Can be used instead of typed product and AV database version.

Your set-up
2. a) Have you updated (without uninstall) from CIS 3 or 4:
b) if so, have you tried a clean reinstall (without losing settings - if not please do)?:
non apply

  1. a) Have you imported a config from a previous version of CIS:
    b) if so, have U tried a standard config (without losing settings - if not please do)?:

  2. Have you made any other major changes to the default config? (eg ticked ‘block all unknown requests’, other egs here.):
    AV: heur = off
FW: computer is a ICS = off
    D+: detect shellcode = off

  3. Defense+, Sandbox, Firewall & AV security levels: D+=safe , Sandbox=off , Firewall =safe , AV =statefull

  4. windows 7 home sp1 x64, UAC on, & account type:admin

  5. Other security and utility software installed:no but I thing these programs counts cuz they integrate on windows a lot:
    connectify3.0, sanboxie 3.58, daemon tools 4.35.6

  6. Virtual machine used (Please do NOT use Virtual box): used host OS
