Browser detected as a 3D Software

Hello everyone,

I’m new to the forums and registered because I found a little (annoying) bug in Ice Dragon.
I like all the Comodo products I’ve tried until now (the Firewall, Dragon, and Secure DNS), but having a Chromium based browser instead of FF based was keeping me away from it, until I read about Ice Dragon. So I decided to try… And I quite ike it :smiley:

So going back to the subject :

I don’t know if it’s related to the graphics driver of my Nvidia card (maybe an ATI or Intel integrated user could try to reproduce it) or the browser itself (or both), but I’ll post it anyway if it helps.

  • Your Operating System (and whether it’s 32bit/64bit);
    Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)

  • Security Software Installed;
    Avira Antivir / MBAM

  • How you produced the problem;
    When both graphics monitoring programs EVGA Precision X and FRAPS (serves to show Frames Per Second in videogames and other programs who use 3D mode, like video players using the Graphic Card to render the video, etc…) are running, the bwoser is detected as it was in 3D Mode and the OSDs of those programs are displayed on the browser.
    It happens when “Use Hardware acceleration when aviable” is ticked in Advanced Options.

  • How you tried to resolve the problem;
    I tried to disable HW Acceleration on Ice Dragon, and that solved it.

  • Screen-shots with the error (if any);
    Attached

  • Post Memory Dumps on crash if you encounter any;
    /

  • Any other Additional Information;
    Doesn’t happen with any official Firefox version.
