Hi Guys,

For now webinstallers are available for our users to always download and install the latest version. We believe that this will increase the usability as you will always be able to reach the the most up-to-date version of CIS.

But we can not download/install successfully by online installer because the Internet limit in China, it’s toooooo slowly. We really need offline installers.

Once you install it on a system → offline installer is downloaded. That’s not a problem. :slight_smile:
(You just have to check %ProgramData%\Comodo Downloader directory.)

But what if I don’t want to install it to get the offline installer? I want to install it on a machine that isn’t my main machine to try it out before committing to in on my main machine.

Secure Shopping alert option “Visit with secure browser”, is the secure browser option the same rightclick browser & run sandboxed?

Father Christmas is a bit early this year. Thank you and congratulations with the release.

I prefer to have a local copy for various reasons:

  • I have a multi boot system and a netbook and don’t want to download it multiple times. It’s more efficient to use an off line installer
  • I may want to install it on other people’s computers who don’t have a 100 Mb/s connection like I have
  • It’s more secure in case of a clean installation of Windows

Could you explain why an on line installer increase usability and why an off line installer is no longer an option? Increasing usability is empty language that annoys me. Part of the Comodo users are advanced users who like to know and be in control and would like to know why things are changing etc.

Well… they could provide a short link that redirects to latest offline installer. (considering Redstraw’s case)

I still see that the product is not finished.

  • There are inconsistencies in the themes (main theme and dialog boxes),

  • many window effects from the old themes are not present anymore.

  • On update i get the error “The requested operation requires elevation” when I run under standard user account.
