I am running win 7 x64 and have been getting alerts from Windows firewall although CIS Premium reports all is in order is this normal. I would have thought thw Windows firewall would be negated by the installation of CIS. Help please.

Have you installed CIS x64 version? If you haven’t then it would be wise to uninstall the x32 version, clean the registries that CIS 32bit left with CSC (comodo system cleaner (x64 version of course)) and install the CIS x64 version again.

No, in many instances, the installation of CIS does not disable the Windows firewall. You must do this manually.
