BOINC screensaver blocked - help

currently i have avg and adawareSE along with comodo.
comodo’s application monitor has boinc.scr as allow, any destination, any port.
the logs show that boinc.scr was denied access to execute.
boinc.exe and boincmgr.exe execute with no problems

what else do i need to do?

didn't know if this would help. some snippets from the log.

advice is appreciated.

Hi, just a suggestion if you want to try it. Edit the boinc.scr rule in the miscellaneous tab ‘allow invisible connection attempts’. You may even experiment a little with the other options there in edit. Hope this helps

PS.if every effort failshttp://support.comodo.com and submit a ticket

the directions didn’t seem to indicate that, but its still worth a shot.

i may do that anyway. finally fixed it, but it seems that comodo’s pop-up alert inherited the characteristics of the screensaver. by that, the pop-up would appear at the same time as the screensaver activated and would disappear along with the screensaver when i tried to get to it.

after many, many attempts, i finally got quick enough, holding the cursor where the pop-up would be, to click the ‘remember my answer’ and ‘allow’ buttons. very frustrating.

thanks…
