Boinc application always asking permission

I have Boinc installed on my computer, I participate in a project World Community Grid Clean Energy Project.

The blocking behavior always asks permission to open another task, or what I believe to be another task in the same thread.

I’ve marked the “box” (Trust this application) he still asks for confirmation.

The something I should do, or this and a bug?

  • Sorry for the english, I had to enlist the help of an automatic translator.

** I use windows 7 64bit with the Firewall and Defense +, and HIPS enabled.

Can you put the UI of CIS to English for a little for testing? Can you then show the D+ logs showing the alerts caused by Boinc?

Thanks for answering

I guess it’s because the client download an exe to crunch numbers. Boinc can run multiple program on multiple cores. I don’t think those exe are signed…

No option to add some exception to the folder or the entire boinc client in order to resolve this?

I have a other problem with another project.

However rosetta[at]home, sat[at]home and others projects work correctly.

Thank you.

Try giving Boinc the Installer/Updater or Windows System Application policy in HIPS rules. Both policies are allowed to start other and unknown programs. Try Installer/Updater first and when that does not help try Windows System Application policy.

Hello,

Shouldn’t be enough create a D+ rule:

Access Rights - Run Executable - Action - Ask ; Exclusions - allowed files\folders - add folders “C:\ProgramData*”

ups, missing the program folder. the correct is:
Access Rights - Run Executable - Action - Ask ; Exclusions - allowed files\folders - add folders “C:\ProgramData\BOINC*”
