blocking\disabling telnet on router (port 23)

hi everybody.
first of all:
i have several COMODO products…you rock!!!
i have a tp link router with command line management ability
in simple words:
PORT 23 (TELNET) is open!!!
i know it doesn’t belong here…but i saw you are very resourceful!!!
my goal is:
to abolish telnet.
i did that on my windows pc’s.
i can accesses the router with the JuiceSSH android app…
i don’t want that!!!(as funny as it may sounds…)
TP-link doesn’t help at all !!!
and yes…it is the latest firmware.
thank you.
and again:

COMODO rocks!!!

Unrelated question.

It depends. You should consult documentation. Usually, there’s a (web interface) section related to advanced internet security where you can block specific traffic such as Telnet. On the other hand, you might be able to access it only if you’re connected locally. Alternatively, you can block it by connecting trough command line interface (eg with Telnet).

thank you so much for your reply.
again…apologies for the unrelated question.
that’s good news…the fact that it can be closed from telnet itself.
i did tried to find the right commends for this task…no luck.
tp link doesn’t help…or clear on this subject (i know i know it isn’t your problem)
thanks again buddy (-:(-:
