Hi,
I’ve just installed and basically configured Comodo.
I note that there is the option to “Block all outgoing connections while booting” but it is unchecked by default.
Is it advisable to activate this function?
Is there any reason why it should not be activated?
Thanks for any advice,
Geo.
The firewall is configured to block inbound attacks during the boot process. If you block outbound connections during bootup, you won’t have access to the Internet until all processes have finished loading.
Thanks for the explanation Zito.
Ticking the box will definitely slow start up on most computers, I have it enabled and it adds about two minutes to my start up time. However, this is the only drawback to it and it should provide an extra bit of protection.
