I read on a security course a home user can block all incoming connections as in “no exceptions” Is this right if on a home lan
It depends on your likings. On a LAN it can be convenient to use the default settings in which you will be alerted if another computer wants to access yours to share files or printers. This way you don’t have to edit your Global Rules to open a port for this purposed; this is needed when you use the Stealth settings.
Blocking all incoming connections, Stealth mode, is more secure but needs some extra work to share files and printers over the local network.
Thanks. Think i am in stealth mode did not realise that was the same as blocking all incoming connections. But i can connect to this pc from the desktop. Am i actually in stealth?
Can you show me a screenshot of your Global Rules?
