i just installed microsoft live mail and the friewall is blocking it but i can’t find how to undo this, does anyone know?
Go to firewall tab–> advanced settings -->network security policy → select windows live mail–> and change the settings to allow this program
When you get pop-ups you can also set the firewall to trusted application, or go to firewall tab and click on define new trusted application and search in the program files folder for windows live mail.exe and set it to be a trusted application…

You forgot to add the fact that it may be D+ that blocked it. Go to D+/Advanced/Computer Security Policy and find the entry there. Right click on and select edit. Then from there make it trusted.
