I am having trouble logging into my website admin email account - a page flashes past asking if I am using a firewall that blocks port 2096 and then redirects me to the login page (using Firefox 3.01 on xp home edition).
I’ve had a good look at all the options in Firewall, Defense+, Miscellaneous pages and can’t find a setting that will tell me which ports are being blocked by Comodo (latest version 3.0.25.378).
Found this post Comodo Forum - but it’s under Help for to version 2 and can’t find any similar settings for version 3.
Thank you gibran for the lightening fast response to my post.
Did as you suggested and added port 2096 - still having problems logging in. Great because it eliminates Comodo as the culprit which means that the fault must be occurring with the servers at my web host.
The Firewall events says that there are no items to show. However in the week view it shows the destination IP (77.247.178.9) with 20 entries on a number of different ports . Is this something to worry about?
Sometimes AD banners are served on non standard http ports.
CFP web broeser policy blocks outbond access to privileged ports (0-1023) by default (exception made for http, ftp or dns ports)
I guess in that case CFP blocked an AD and the destination port was the same in all those entries (in the 0-1023 range)
