In Windows XP Comodo caused the Device Manager and User Accounts utilities in Control Panel to not run, reporting inaccessible files due to privileges. The Admin status of the user was lost and all off-line administrative maintenance operations. Only occurs during full boot of Windows but not in Safe Mode. Also still occurs in full boot without loading Comodo in the start-up list. Removing and Re-Installing comodo cured the problem, at least until it reaches the same point again. Must be caused by some response to an alert. Lots of hardware installations.
Used in Defense+, learning mode. Errors reported by Microsoft Management Console, MMC.exe in system32 Windows directory – the control panel. Restoring this file from Microsoft source had no effect – problem somewhere else, something the Console needs to access.
