That depends on your preference
answer this
do you care about the occasional system pop-ups ? (like after downloading a software and the firewall asks for permission to install)
if so,
then right click on the comodo icon and set it to proactive
On the firewall portion
click on advanced
click on "Attack Detection Settings "
add both checkmarks and then click on “miscellaneous” add all the checkmarks on it
your done
I tried that. I can start Windows Defender. But it automatically starts scanning & when I try to stop the scan, it says “Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x80070cba. The RPC server is unavailable”

Restart your computer.
Sorry I can be much more help then that, I got rid of my windows defender. Have you considered getting rid of windows defender and replace it with microsofts better replacement called “MSE”. If you do choose this by going with “MSE”. Microsoft will remove “windows defender” with MSE. It’s a much improved comparing it to defender. Plus it’s free from microsoft
Services? I have no such listing on my control panel
Its actually under Administrative Tools.
Ok, found it. The RPC is already set to automatic. Could the problem be my browser? Or could the anti-spyware remover I installed after defender quit working properly, be interfering with it? I use the newest beta version of the Google Chrome web browser & Spyware Terminator
